These are the latest COVID-19 entry requirements for all UK travellers. If you are due to arrive in China on or after 8 January 2023, you will need a negative PCR test. Anyone reporting a positive test result will not be permitted to board a flight to China. Any traveller displaying symptoms of fever or without a recognised PCR test , will be asked to undertake an Covid test on arrival. Travellers who test positive with mild covid 19 symptoms may be released to self-quarantine travellers with more severe symptoms will be booked into a medical institution for diagnosis and treatment.
if you are going to China via another country be aware the entry rules maybe different depending on the country you are arriving from, as China may discriminate against countries ONLY testing passengers arriving from China, for covid 19 the rules for arriving in China from the UK and returning to the UK can change rapidly
Be aware that when you return from mainland China to England you must also take a pre-departure COVID-19 test before you fly.
